Welcome to the home
page of the Bharath Students Association
(BSA). BSA is a non-profit organization
for all the students from India and anyone
with common interests. Representing the
Indian culture and promoting unity among
its members and the community as a whole,
BSA is one of the largest international
student organization in University of New
Mexico (UNM). Our vision is to provide opportunities
for our members to contribute in a philanthropic
manner to the City of Albuquerque, UNM,
and the Indian community. BSA always interacts
and learns from other organizations and
has influence on important campus issues.
We promote awareness of our culture among
our members and the Albuquerque community.
We know how tough it is
to travel to a totally new country, thousands
of miles away from home and settle down
into a students life there. We aim to help
new students with the educational and social
issues that they may face at UNM and be
the Indian link for them. Student-student
and student-community interactions are also
highly encouraged.
BSA remains dedicated to
the integration of the UNM Indian community
with the rest of this very diverse campus.
We organize special events to keep India
and it's cultural heritage alive in our
hearts far away from home in the United
States. |
